đ¨ Abstract
A Hull woman, Donna Jobling (57), is critically ill with Legionnaires' disease after contracting it during a holiday in Crete. She is in an induced coma in a Heraklion hospital. Initially enjoying the trip, Donna fell ill on June 5, developing a chest infection and severe respiratory issues. The disease, often spread through contaminated air conditioning systems, affects people over 50, smokers, and those with chronic lung conditions more severely.
