💨 Abstract
Roy Whiting, the convicted murderer of Sarah Payne, testified in court about an attack by another inmate, Andrew Light, at HMP Wakefield. Light, armed with a wooden shank, assaulted Whiting in his cell, causing severe injuries. Whiting managed to defend himself and alert guards. Light admitted to having a bladed article and unlawfully wounding Whiting but denies attempted murder. The trial continues.
