💨 Abstract
A Wisconsin lawmaker, Richard Van Buren, allegedly hanged and strangled a stray golden retriever to death after it bit him. Van Buren, who also served as the town's animal control officer, was accused of using a leash as a noose and dangling the dog, causing it to foam at the mouth. He admitted to holding the dog off the ground and said he was "mad" about the bite.
