💨 Abstract
In early 2025, an inspection of a McDonald's in Maidstone, Kent, revealed significant hygiene issues, including mouse droppings throughout the kitchen and service areas, grease buildup, and improperly stored food. These findings indicated an active rodent infestation, prompting the council to order a thorough cleanup. After subsequent visits and pest control measures, the restaurant was re-rated with four out of five stars for food hygiene.
