đź’¨ Abstract
In southwest China, heavy rainfall has caused severe flooding, resulting in at least six deaths and the evacuation of tens of thousands. A lorry driver was rescued after his vehicle dangled over a chasm, and a young girl was saved from a drain. The region experienced unprecedented rainfall, with rivers bursting their banks. The situation may worsen as a tropical cyclone has made landfall. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with authorities using pumps and boats to evacuate residents.
