šØ Abstract
As the UK and parts of Europe experience a heatwave, there are numerous ways to stay cool indoors without air conditioning. Simple tricks include freezing ice with salt and using fans to create a cool breeze, closing curtains and windows during the day, and using indoor plants. Other effective methods involve managing electrical appliances, minimizing steam and heat sources like ovens and showers, and optimizing room layout for better air circulation. Additionally, selecting appropriate bedding and blinds can also help maintain a cooler environment.
