đ¨ Abstract
This year's Flying Ant Day is expected to be particularly intense, with earlier and larger swarms due to fluctuating weather conditions. Flying ants, or alates, take to the skies in July and August to mate, a crucial event for soil quality and the ecosystem. Cities may see earlier activity due to warmer temperatures. While annoying for outdoor activities, these swarms are vital for ecosystem balance, aerating soil, and serving as a food source for birds.
