💨 Abstract
A 12-year-old boy, Sebastian, died after attempting the dangerous "scarf challenge" social media dare, which involves self-asphyxiation. His family warned about the risks of online challenges, emphasizing the need for parental involvement in children's online activities. Sebastian's death is not being treated as suspicious. Four other British children died from similar challenges in 2022, and their parents are suing TikTok. Detectives are investigating Sebastian's death.
