💨 Abstract
The author recounts a hen weekend in Brighton, reflecting on her evolving feelings about separation from her children. Initially, she struggled with anxiety and guilt, feeling she had to be constantly present. Over time, she realized that taking time for herself benefited both her and her children. She enjoyed her time away, experiencing uninterrupted relaxation and conversation. Upon returning, she found her children had managed fine and were happy to share their own experiences.
