💨 Abstract
On the Fourth of July, an eight-year-old girl, Jasmine Nguyen, was fatally struck by an illegal firework in Buena Park, California. The incident involved a misfiring fireworks display set up by a family friend. Jasmine was rushed to a medical center but pronounced dead shortly after. Other individuals present were not seriously injured. Earl Decastro was arrested on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter. The tragedy occurred amid a series of shooting incidents across the U.S.
