💨 Abstract
Aoife, an 11-year-old student in southeast London, responded to the tearing down of an LGBTQ+ Pride poster by starting an after-school club. Despite hearing classmates use homophobic language, Aoife decided to create a defiant and supportive "little family" for queer students, using resources from the charity Just Like Us. Her initiative, which includes 15 members, focuses on activities and conversations, providing a safe space.
