💨 Abstract
Carolina Wilga, a 26-year-old German backpacker, was lost in the Western Australian Outback for 11 nights. She was found disoriented and injured, with exhaustion, dehydration, and mosquito bites. Wilga had abandoned her van and tried to walk toward the western sun to find help. She was airlifted to a Perth hospital and is receiving medical and emotional support.
