💨 Abstract
A Southeastern Rail train heading to London struck an unknown object on the track near Teynham, Kent, around midday on Sunday. The collision caused a ball of flames and disrupted services between Canterbury East and Victoria. Passengers reported rising temperatures and requested the doors to be opened. Replacement buses were arranged between Gillingham–Faversham and Sittingbourne–Sheerness. The nature of the obstruction and the severity of the incident remain unclear. British Transport Police has been notified.
