💨 Abstract

The Arctic Circle town of Rovaniemi, Finland, is experiencing an unprecedented heatwave, with temperatures reaching 31°C, far above the typical summer high of 20°C. This unusual warmth is part of a broader heatwave affecting Finland, which recently recorded its highest temperature of the summer at 32.4°C. The phenomenon is becoming more frequent, with last summer breaking significant heat records.
