💨 Abstract
An Afghan national who worked with the British government revealed that a 2022 data breach exposed the personal information of nearly 19,000 Afghans, including many who applied to relocate to the UK. The individual, who fled to the UK in 2021, was unaware of the breach until recently. The leak puts the safety of those still in Afghanistan, including their family, at risk.
