💨 Abstract

A four-year-old was injured by a mountain lion during a family hike at Olympic National Park. The attack occurred near Victoria Overlook on Hurricane Ridge. Rangers and paramedics responded, airlifting the child to a trauma center. The mountain lion was later killed by park staff. The park advised visitors on safety tips for encounters with mountain lions and continues investigating the incident. This incident follows a recent plane crash in the same park.
