💨 Abstract
Mistaken identities in the repatriation of remains from the Air India crash have caused distress among British families of the 261 victims. Two confirmed cases of wrong identifications have led to families cancelling funerals. Consequently, an inquiry involving UK and Indian authorities has been launched. 12 British nationals have been repatriated, but DNA testing has been ordered to ensure correct identification.
