💨 Abstract
Due to technical issues at NATS Swanwick air traffic control, all flights in and out of London's airports were grounded, affecting thousands of travelers. Nats, the air traffic control company, prioritized safety and limited aircraft in the London control area. Passengers were left in limbo. Engineers restored the affected system sooner. Passengers' rights to meals, accommodation, and alternative flights are protected by UK and EU laws, with airlines required to cover reasonable expenses.
