💨 Abstract
Twenty-five passengers were injured when turbulence caused a Delta Air Lines flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam to divert to Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. The Airbus A330-900 with 288 people on board encountered severe conditions over Minnesota, dropping about 1,000ft in seconds. Experts note that clear-air turbulence, which is not visible on radar, is challenging to avoid.
