💨 Abstract
A 5-month-old boy in Nebraska died after being left in a hot car, allegedly by his father. The infant was found unresponsive at a parking lot and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The dad, Jeremy Hansen, was charged with negligent child abuse. Although medical help arrived in time, the baby had succumbed to extreme heat exposure. Family and community members are rallying around Hansen, expressing their sympathy and urging restraint in judgment. Hansen is expected to appear in court.
