💨 Abstract
Rushanara Ali, the homelessness minister and Labour MP, is accused of hypocrisy after allegedly evicting tenants from her London property and raising the rent by £700. Ali had described as ‘private renters being exploited’ however she sent notice to the four tenants to leave the property. Tenants trying to challenge unreasonable rent increases facing an rent increase of £700. Soon the property was sold for almost £4,000 a month.
