💨 Abstract
On September 7 at around 3 pm, a major nationwide emergency alert test will be conducted in the UK. Mobile phones on 4G and 5G networks will vibrate and emit a siren for up to 10 seconds. This system, modeled after similar schemes in other countries, aims to save lives during major incidents like severe storms and wildfires. The alert will be location-based and cannot be ignored or silenced.
