💨 Abstract
In Sochi, at least 12 people have died from methanol poisoning after consuming fake alcohol bought from a local market. The victims, including members of multiple families, suffered blindness, kidney failure, and eventually lost consciousness. Two individuals have been detained for selling the illicit "chacha" alcohol, while the Russian government warns against consuming alcohol of unknown origin. Investigations are ongoing to identify all parties involved in the production and distribution of the dangerous substance.
