💨 Abstract
Lyme disease, transmitted through infected tick bites, is on the rise. Symptoms include a circular red rash, flu-like symptoms, and joint issues. Key signs are a red bullseye rash, but only about half of those infected develop this. Most tick bites are harmless, but it's crucial to remove ticks promptly if found. If you experience flu-like symptoms or notice a rash after a tick bite or exposure to ticks, consult a GP.
