💨 Abstract
Aldi is opening new shops exclusively for its staff across the UK to reduce food waste. These "colleague shops" will sell discounted, safe-to-eat products that can't be sold in regular stores, aiming to prevent 240 tonnes of food waste annually. This initiative follows a successful trial and complements Aldi's new "reduction zones" in UK stores for discounted perishable items.
