💨 Abstract

Bella Culley, a pregnant British student nurse, was sentenced to two years in prison in Georgia despite her family paying a £140,000 fine. Arrested in Tbilisi for allegedly smuggling drugs, she claimed she was coerced by a Thai gang. Her family hoped the payment would reduce her sentence, but the judge upheld the deal. Bella, due to give birth in December, will keep her baby in prison.
