The author recounts her experience of being coerced into theft by her abusive ex-partner, Sean. After enduring severe domestic violence, she was manipulated into stealing £98,000 from her employer to fund Sean's drug habit. Despite her guilty plea, she received a custodial sentence, serving almost three years in prison. The article highlights the challenges she faced, including caring for her disabled children, and her eventual recovery with the help of the charity Advance.
