💨 Abstract
In 1979, a geriatrician and two women, Cora Phillips and Morella Fisher, both caring for husbands with young-onset dementia, joined forces to create the Alzheimer’s Disease Society. They aimed to break the silence around dementia, provide support, and drive research. Initially, they faced significant challenges, including a lack of awareness and resources.
