💨 Abstract
A former IT technician, Jordan Cave, avoided prison despite sexually assaulting a schoolboy and possessing thousands of child abuse images. Recorder Maryam Syed imposed a suspended sentence, including a curfew, unpaid work, and rehabilitation activities. This decision sparked outrage among investigating officers, with one expressing intent to quit. Cave's sentence was reduced due to his autism, ADHD, and lack of prior offenses. He must complete a sex offender program and sign the sex offenders' register.
