💨 Abstract

An elderly man in his 80s died after contracting a rare cholera-like illness, non-toxigenic vibrio cholerae, which causes severe gastrointestinal issues. Initially feared to be cholera, the disease was confirmed by the UKHSA. The man, who lived with his youngest son, was under quarantine and passed away at a hospital in Nuneaton. His eldest son, in full PPE, was by his side.
