The author recounts the tragic story of their daughter, Chloe, who suffered from domestic abuse and ultimately took her own life. Chloe's abuser, Marc Masterton, controlled her appearance, isolated her from friends, and physically assaulted her. Despite attempts to leave him, Chloe felt trapped and attempted suicide multiple times. The author highlights the lack of recognition and support for victims of domestic abuse-related suicides, advocating for better awareness and intervention.
