💨 Abstract

Archaeologists in Egypt discovered 22 beautifully painted wooden coffins and rare papyri in the Asasif Necropolis, Luxor. Dating to around 1070 to 664 BC, many coffins belonged to women titled ‘Singer of Amun.’ The coffins were found in a secondary storage chamber, carefully arranged in layers. Most coffins lack personal names but display professional titles.
