These unauthorized AI systems, often used for tasks like booking travel or handling customer complaints, can pose significant risks. A Microsoft poll found that 84% of business leaders view shadow AI as a growing threat. These agents, often downloaded without formal approval, can harvest, sell, or misuse data, potentially leading to cyber attacks and data theft.
