💨 Abstract
The article tells the story of a transgender woman from Uganda who became a finalist in the Miss Trans Global pageant in 2022. Growing up, she faced discrimination and had to suppress her gender identity due to societal and legal pressures. She moved to the UK in 2021 for her studies, where she found a more accepting environment. Participating in the pageant helped her gain confidence and express her true self.
