💨 Abstract
In August 2024, the author and her husband, Dave, lost their 10-year-old daughter, Larissa, to leukaemia. Larissa had been experiencing sickness and headaches during a family holiday in the U.S. Her condition rapidly deteriorated, leading to seizures and a medically-induced coma. Despite efforts, doctors in New York could not save her. Larissa's death was later confirmed as due to leukaemia.
