💨 Abstract
Jeff Bradford, a 62-year-old from Scotland, initially dismissed a sore throat as a result of gym renovations. After two weeks of symptoms and no improvement with antibiotics, he was diagnosed with stage three throat cancer in June 2016. The cancer was caused by HPV16, an STI that can remain dormant for decades. Jeff underwent radiotherapy and was eventually cleared of cancer.
