💨 Abstract
The author struggled with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) from a young age, feeling societal pressure to meet unrealistic beauty standards. Diagnosed at 18, she faced symptoms like facial hair, acne, fatigue, and weight gain, which led to feelings of inadequacy and isolation. Insensitive comments from others exacerbated her struggles. Discovering online communities of women with PCOS helped her embrace her body and redefine femininity.
