đź’¨ Abstract
Spotify has introduced "Promoted Playlists," a new feature allowing Premium users in New Zealand to control the streaming service's algorithm more precisely. This feature, currently in beta, lets users create personalized playlists based on their entire listening history and specific prompts. Unlike existing AI playlists, it considers world knowledge and allows for more detailed instructions and customization, such as specifying genres, time periods, or activities. Users can also set how often the playlist refreshes.
