đź’¨ Abstract
Nvidia, after securing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce, is considering boosting production of its H200 chips for the Chinese market. These chips, previously restricted, are now allowed to be sold in China with a 25% revenue share agreement. Chinese companies, including Alibaba and ByteDance, are eager to purchase these advanced GPUs for AI model training. The move comes as China seeks to develop its own AI chips amid Western restrictions.
