💨 Abstract
Luma AI, backed by a16z, introduced Ray3 Modify, an AI model that allows users to modify existing video footage by using character reference images while preserving the original performance. This model enables users to change an actor's appearance, costumes, and scene locations without reshooting. It also supports transitional footage generation using start and end frames. The technology is available on Luma's Dream Machine platform and was launched following a $900 million funding round led by Humain.
