💨 Abstract
A decade ago, Mr. Chua was diagnosed with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), a rare disease caused by misfolded proteins that lead to heart failure. Currently, there is no cure, and Mr. Chua's condition has deteriorated despite medication. A new international trial, the MAGNITUDE study, led by Assistant Professor Lin Weiqin at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS), offers hope.
