OMRON Healthcare India emphasized the importance of doctors in promoting home blood pressure and ECG monitoring, particularly for Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) detection, to manage cardiac health. Over 220 million Indians suffer from high blood pressure, but only 15% receive treatment, and 5% use digital BP monitors. Home monitoring is crucial for diagnosing white coat and mask hypertension.
