💨 Abstract
China recently renamed 27 places in Arunachal Pradesh, a move India promptly dismissed as "vain and meaningless," reiterating that the state is an "integral" part of India. This is the fifth such attempt by China since 2017, each time being rejected by India. The renaming comes amid ongoing territorial disputes and strategically significant developments, including India's recent military operations and China's construction of a dam on the Brahmaputra River.
