💨 Abstract
China's box office revenue for Christmas Eve hit a 13-year low, according to Maoyan data. Prof. Zhang Yiwu of Peking University attributed the decline to a lack of blockbuster films and the rise of streaming services. Revenues for Tuesday were 38.4 million yuan, less than a quarter of last year's figure, marking the lowest since 2011.
