💨 Abstract
A magnitude-5.9 earthquake occurred in Turkey's Malatya province on Wednesday, causing damage to some buildings but no reported casualties. Three buildings partially collapsed, and nearly 190 people were treated in hospitals across six provinces. The quake was also felt in Syria's Hasakah, Deir al-Zor, and Aleppo provinces. Inspections were carried out across the region, and 43 people remain under observation.
