đź’¨ Abstract
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) reported that over three-quarters of new renewable energy capacity added last year was cheaper than fossil fuels. This indicates the competitiveness of solar, wind, and other renewables. The U.N. aims to triple renewable energy capacity worldwide by 2030, and in 2023, the cost of electricity from renewables dropped for most technologies.
