"Rhythm of Dammam," a Konkani-Kannada film, explores the intergenerational trauma of India's Siddi community, believed to have African origins. Directed by Jayan Cherian, the film stars 14-year-old Chinmaya Siddi and centers on Jayaram Siddi, a 12-year-old boy haunted by visions of his dead grandfather.
