Around 800 Indian Army soldiers completed the first full rail journey from Delhi to Srinagar via Katra, marking the inaugural use of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL). This journey was arranged for soldiers stranded due to flight cancellations to Jammu and Kashmir. The train traveled from Delhi to Katra, then from Katra to Srinagar, completing the latter leg in 4 hours.
