💨 Abstract
At least 21 people died and 10 were hospitalized in Punjab's Amritsar district after consuming spurious liquor laced with methanol. The victims were mostly daily wage earners. Ten suspects, including the alleged ringleader, were arrested, and two police officers were suspended for negligence. The state government and opposition parties traded blame, with the latter demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
