đź’¨ Abstract

Four policemen in Pune, India, were suspended for allegedly providing preferential treatment to gangster Gajanan Marne during his transfer from one prison to another. The police escort halted at a dhabha where Marne's associates served him food. The suspended officials include an assistant police inspector and four constables. The police commissioner initiated action under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against those who facilitated Marne.
